Aromatherapy isn’t a new concept although until recently we didn’t call it by that name many have used herbs and plants fragrances for a variety of reasons. These days even science and medicine are beginning to recognize the benefits of this alternative practice. Here we’ll look at some of the ways that aromatherapy can help anyone.
The most elementary use of aromatherapy is as a substitute for normal air freshener and it is great for any space, from your office to your home and even your car. People typically buy products that mask odors or have citrus or other types of pleasant smells, but why not use all natural essential oils for this job? Most commercial products have the potential to cause side effects due to the fact that they are made with harsh chemicals, without a natural plant in sight. Aromatherapy has many other benefits, besides simply making a room smell better, such as helping with various health problems, like sinus issues, and improving one’s mood.
One use of aromatherapy essential oils is to relieve muscular pain. Applying a hot or cold compress, the therapeutic oil, such as eucalyptus, rosemary or clary sage, the sore area can be lessened.
